A hobby started by pure coincidence alongside the 2020 quarantine sourdough craze, baking has slowly but surely become Andrei’s bread and butter (yes, pun very much intended). He’s been perfecting his craft since, duly documented on Instagram by his wife Ana, and started sharing it with the world in March 2025, by attending local markets.
Not much different than last year, perhaps just a little wiser, we sell artisan sourdough bread in many forms, baked in our Bedford microbakery. Everything is made by hand using traditional baking methods and take pride in our artisan products, which are all made with sourdough, from savoury to sweet.
The breadman is not shy when it comes to experimenting with dough, he’s baking everything from your classic sourdough loaves to baguettes, focaccias, ciabattas, bagels and pretzels, with his most popular and unique product being the garlic bread cone: a ciabatta cut into bite sized pieces, coated in a moreish mix of olive oil, fresh pressed garlic, salt and parsley - a great sharing snack option which is also healthy for your gut.
The stall is manned by the baker himself with some family help, which gives our customer service that extra quality for any of those who are curious to know where/how the bread is baked, who bakes it, and how to go about baking their own sourdough at home.
